Q. How do I integrate LibGuides into Blackboard?

Steps to Embed a LibGuide in Blackboard

1. Go to “Build Content”

   • In your Blackboard course, navigate to the Build Content section.

2. Select “LibGuides”

   • From the dropdown menu, choose LibGuides.

3. Name the Content

   • Give the item a clear name (e.g., “APA Citation Library Guide”) so students know what it links to.
   • Click Submit to create the content.

4. Click the Created Link

   • You’ll see the new content listed. Click on it to proceed.

5. Choose Content Type

   • Select either:
     • Guides and Guide Content (for full guides or specific sections), or
     • A-Z Databases (for database links).

6. Select and Embed the Guide

   • Pick the guide you want to embed.
   • Optionally, choose a specific page within the guide.
   • Click Embed Content.

7. View Embedded Guide

   • The LibGuide will now appear directly within Blackboard.
   • Students stay within the LMS and can use features like the librarian chat box.
