You must have activated your CCRI Student ID as a library card and established your My Library Account and password before you can request an item.

Next, go to the Library Catalog and search for a title you are interested in by typing in the title, author, or a keyword. Once the item is found, click on the  Place Hold  button. If CCRI doesn't own the item it can be requested from another library by clicking the Request HELIN Loan or Request through Interlibrary Loan  button.

Enter your Library Barcode number and password and Sign In.  Select the location where you want to pick up the title and click on Submit.  You should see a hold confirmation message.

You can view your holds and their status by viewing your library account, using the drop-down list in the upper right corner of the Library Catalog screen.  Remember to Sign Out when you are finished.

Please note that some materials are not able to be requested.  Contact the Library Circulation Desk if the status of your request does not change after a few days.  Contact the Reference Desk if you need further assistance finding the material you need.
